I N T R O D U C T I O N S !

Hiii!!! Welcome to badgerinablender.com! My name is Lucy (that’s not what it really is but that’s what I tell people when they ask me randomly on the street :D)

Some introductions! I really like listening to music (though I don’t listen to it nearly as much as I used to when I was a bit younger). As you can see, I also really like making webpages (even though I never finish them), and for some reason, I really love parentheses.

Some FAQs (even though I’m sure nobody’s asked anything yet, because this website has just been up :P)

Where did the name come from?

- I can’t recall right now whether the punchline in the video was “a nun in a blender” or “a badger in a blender”, but back in my Tom Scott phase where I used to watch his channel almost literally 24/7, there was a video where he and some other guy I forgot the name of tried to recreate the “bad um tss” sound by dropping a drum and cymbals from a cliff or something, and the joke he used was “what’s black and white and red all over”. Funny. There are lots of variations to that punchline. As I said, there’s “a nun in a blender”, but there’s also “a skunk in a blender”, “a crossword done in red ink”, “an embarrassed skunk”, “a penguin with a sunburn”, etc. But I was really shocked to find out the actual answer to the riddle was “a newspaper” (It’s black and white and “read” all over). But I like the version I heard first better. Thanks Tom Scott!

What are you doing with this website?

- I don’t have any goals leading up to the creation of this website, but it’s a way for me to satisfy that itch I always get with regards to making a website. Every so often I always get a huge urge to just make another webpage, and I figured instead of just making a million webpages that will never see the light of day, I might as well compile everything into an actual website that I’ll keep as a journal which will last me for my entire life!

And how exactly do you intend to do that? Nothing lasts forever.

- I’ll just keep it on a USB stick. Hopefully this does go somewhere. Most of the things I make I usually forget about them, but I learn a lot about everything I do and I love all my projects all the same. To be real, I don’t mind if it lasts, I also don’t mind if it disappears, and I’m also aware that keeping it on a USB stick also isn’t completely fool-proof, because I might (this is very on brand for me btw) lose it, or I mean anything can happen. Maybe the internet just blows up one day. Couldn’t tell you the logistics behind that one, but never say never aye?

Okay a lot of vague talk. What kind of stuff might someone actually expect to see on your website?

- I never make promises because I never follow through. But if you’re likely to see anything, expect it to be about music. Then, in decreasing order of likeliness: expect to see writing about my personal life, or science/something I’ve learned in school, or my personal life, or fashion, or I might choose to learn Javascript and make a few widgets, or talk about Javascript, or scientists might find a way to successfully terraform Mars so we can all move there and have a party when the aliens stop being shy and decide to talk to us (I don’t actually know if there are aliens on Mars. Apparently, there was proof that Mars either supports or harbours life. But I’m loyal to my lovely Earth. And Mars is deathly cold. Most especially during winter. I can barely deal with the mild inconvenience of the British winds)! So yeah. Expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve just realised I’ve done a really good job at introducing my website but not myself. I am horrible at introducing myself. That’s because I find it hard to describe who I am. I mean, that’s kind of a loaded question. I’ll be doing my A-Levels in like 2 months. That’s kind of interesting. I also really like pinterest!
And here’s a link to my very first neocities website! It’s definitely something!

Well, alright. That was pretty informative. Aren’t you gonna say goodbye to your audience?

- I think we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. But goodbye to anybody reading this. Have a nice day!
